This fine, gemmy crystal of chondrodite is doubly-terminated and measures just over 1.1 cm. Also on the calcite matrix are several small, purplish red spinel crystals. When these specimens were first on the market, the chondrodite was originally identified as norbergite, another humite group mineral. Analysis has shown that they are in fact chondrodite. The chondrodite fluoresces a bright yellow under SW UV. 6.6 x 4.4 x 3.2 cm.
