Ex. Ernie and Vera Schlichter Collection

Excellent thumbnail of the "campylite" variety of mimetite on matrix. The campylite balls, which measure to 1.3 cm, have a burnt ochre color characteristic of the locality. The matrix appears to be romanèchite. No damage apart from the lowest ball of campylite which is incomplete. For more information on this locality, see Minerals of the English Lake district by Cooper and Stanley. 2.8 x 2.7 x 2.0 cm.
