Afg012 - Elbaite (Cat's-Eye Indicolite) - Kunar Valley, Kunar Province, Afghanistan

A large, superb, chatoyant crystal of indicolite. This cabinet-sized specimen would probably yield several large cat's-eye gems if cut. It has beautiful silkiness and color - the picture was taken in diffuse daylight with no backlighting. 10.3 x 2.2 x 2.2 cm.
