Afg020 - Beryl var. Vorobyevite - Deo Darrah, Khash & Kuran Wa Munjan Districts, Badakhshan Province, Afghanistan

From the 2014 find, this is a superb cabinet specimen of this cesium-rich beryl variety. Excellent color and luster, with crystals to 1.2 cm. Most of the crystals are doubly-terminated and have almost fibrous, multiple terminations. Interestingly, the color is a very deep blue in the center, fading to a pale blue at the terminations. I count 12 crystals on this rich specimen. 6.9 x 4.9 x 3.5 cm.
