Africa104 - Phenakite and Siderite - Klein Spitzkopje, Spitzkopje Area, Karibib District, Erongo Region, Namibia

Very rich specimen of intergrown, doubly-terminated, colorless crystals of phenakite to 7 mm. Also present are lenticular crystals of somewhat corroded siderite crystals. The right side of the reverse is covered with small cubic crystals of a brownish mineral which is highly fluorescent yellow under both SW and LW UV; this may be florencite-(Ce) but it has not been tested. Ex. Pough and Feinglos collections with labels. 7.7 x 4.8 x 2.0 cm.
