EMR-I147 - Smithsonite after Calcite - -200 Stope, Monteponi Mine, Iglesias, Carbonia-Iglesias Province, Sardinia, Italy

A fascinating specimen of light brown smithsonite partially pseudomorphing golden calcite. The main calcite crystal is doubly-terminated and measures 5.3 cm. There are several other smaller, mostly dissolved crystals showing the smithsonite shell remaining. From my personal collection. 5.3 x 4.5 x 3.8 cm.
