Gem020 - Andradite var. Demantoid - near Soghan, Baft District, Kerman Province, Iran

Deep green, translucent to transparent crystals of demantoid to 9 mm comprise this fine miniature from Iran. The crystals are well-formed for the species and some are almost gem-quality. There is some very minor edge wear; however, the condition overall is fine. A great example from the find earlier this decade.
