Sharp, translucent to semi-transparent 1.8 cm ruby crystal on matrix. It is somewhat redder in person. The ruby fluoresces a vivid bright red under UV light. The Jagdalak Mine is considered a premier locality for gem ruby; the Afghani ruby mines in this area have been known since the 10th century. No damage. 5.4 x 4.5 x 2.5 cm.
