Gem082 - Corundum var. Sapphire - Gem Gravels, Ratnapura, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka

Light yellow, gem-quality, transparent sapphire crystal from Sri Lanka. The crystal form is extremely sharp, with a small chip on one termination. This was part of a parcel I rescued from the heat treaters and cutters. 19.0 carats. 2.7 x 1.0 x 1.0 cm.
