Gem131 - Elbaite and Albite - Stak Nala, Haramosh Mts., Skardu District, Baltistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan

Interesting and unusual specimen from Stak Nala. The 4.3 cm tall elbaite sits on a "fan" of albite rather than being imbedded in the typical white cleavelandite, creating a striking and aesthetic presentation. The elbaite has a nice termination and fades from a very dark green in the lower two-thirds to a transparent light yellow-green section. The very top is almost colorless. 6.2 x 5.7 x 3.1 cm.
