Paki017 - Quartz included by Astrophyllite - Zagi Mt., Mulla Ghori, Khyber Agency, FATA, Pakistan

Unusual in the clarity, luster and quality of the quartz, this is a rich example of the find in this famous rare earth locality. (See Lapis No. 6, pps 82-84.) Most specimens I have seen have been at translucent or only partially transparent; almost all have had dull luster. I purchased this specimen directly from Herb Obodda in 2003 when he returned from Peshawar. Contacted on reverse and bottom. 5.3 x 5.0 x 4.1 cm.
