Paki031 - Spessartine on Twinned Microcline, Shengus, Haramosh Mts, Skardu District, Baltistan, Northern Areas, Pakistan

Sharp, dark orange-red spessartine garnets are scattered on a twinned, cream-colored microcline crystal. The garnets measure to 6 mm and show very sharp growth patterns. The locality given is different than on the Dudley Blauwet label (shown), but given the crystal form and the microcline I am confident it is from Shengus. The microcline is fluorescent. 7.7 x 6.2 x 5.7 cm.
