USA146 - Cerussite and Pyromorphite - Wheatley Mine, Phoenixville District, Schuykill Township, Chester Co., Pennsylvania

Superb, historic specimen of well-crystallized cerussite with pyromorphite from this historic mining area. The cerussite measures to about 5 mm and the pyromorphite is sub-millimeter in size. This specimen has been in several prominent collections, including the Joseph and Randall Clay collection (mid-1800's) which went to the University of Pennsylvania, and the Abe Rosenzweig, Steve Chamberlain and Joe Varady collections.
