VTrem105 - V, Cr Rich Tremolite - Block D, Merelani Hills, Lelatema Mts, Arusha Region, Namibia

Sharp, lustrous, transparent gem crystal of vanadium and chromium-rich tremolite from Merelani. The tremolite crystal ranges from almost colorless at the base to a vibrant light green apple color at the top. The crystal is doubly-terminated, with some small calcite crystals on one termination. This is a top-quality crystal from the 2006 find. 3.4 x 1.7 x 0.5 cm.
