Bulg027 - Galena and Sphalerite - Krushev Dol Mine, Madan, Rhodope Mts, Plovdiv Oblast, Bulgaria

Unusual grouping of galena crystals with a slightly molten, hoppered appearance. The primary form is octahedral, with some prominent growth hillocks visible. Small crystals of dark sphalerite (to 6 mm) are also present. The central cluster is 5.6 x 4.5 cm; the overall specimen size is 12.2 x 8.9 x 7.4 cm.
