Classic051 - Magnetite with Monazite - Binntal, Wallis, Switzerland

Sharp octahedral crystals of magnetite to 9 mm from a classic Alpine locality. An old Schortmann's label accompanies the specimen (shown.) There are also three small (sub-mm) reddish crystals of monazite present. 6.3 x 5.9 x 1.9 cm.
