Gem034 - Pezzottaite - Sakavalana Mine, Ambatovita, Mandrosonoro area, Ambatofinandrahana District, Amoron'i Mania Region, Fianarantsoa Province, Madagascar

From the type locality, this is a sharp, complete tabular crystal with minor matrix. The crystal is highly translucent and has excellent color. The pleochroism is readily visible when back-lit. Pezzottaite is a rare cesium-rich analogue of beryl. 1.2 x 0.9 x 0.7 cm.
