USA011 - Elbaite - Himalaya Mine, Mesa Grande District, San Diego County, California

Gemmy, pinkish-red elbaite crystals with a green core. Minor albite and a nice lavender lepidolite rosette are also present. Classic Himalaya specimen; undamaged with some contacting on reverse. The third photo is backlit to show the transparency of the specimen. 5.9 x 4.1 x 3.3 cm.
