Ex. W.W. Jefferis (circa 1885), Carnegie Museum Collections
Superb, late 19th century specimen of bright reddish-orange wulfenite. The main crystal is 1.9 cm in length. As can be seen, the color and shape of the crystals are quite different than those from more modern mining. There are also some very small (1 - 2 mm) calcite crystals present. Some very minor nicks which can be seen under magnification; overall, it is in great condition for its age. I would prefer to hand-deliver this specimen. 7.2 x 4.2 x 2.9 cm.
