Collected by Al Kidwell
Excellent cabinet specimen of this rare hydrated phosphate. According to the Fender Natural Resources label, it was collected by its namesake, Al Kidwell. The yellowish-green kidwellite covers a matrix of reddish-brown beraunite, another hydrated phosphate. In addition, there are spherules of strengite to almost 2 mm scattered on the specimen. Overall, this is a fine example of three hydrated phospates in one! For more information on kidwellite, please see The Handbook of Mineralogy or Mindat. 8.6 x 5.8 x 4.1 cm.
