EMR-I151 - Ilvaite - Elba Island, Livorno Province, Tuscany, Italy

Superb, sharp, doubly-terminated ilvaite crystal from the type locality. The ilvaite measures 1.5 x 1.2 cm and is on a matrix of quartz and hedenbergite. The crystal is undamaged - there is a natural contact on the upper right with remnants of the matrix still visible. From my personal collection. 3.0 x 2.3 x 2.0 cm.
