USA061 - Galena and Sphalerite - Brushy Creek Mine, Viburnum Trend, Reynolds Co., Missouri

Excellent specimen of cubic and modified octahedral galena with scattered sphalerite. Given the different conditions for formation of these crystal forms, it is unusual to see both so well-crystallized on the same specimen. A superb undamaged specimen for the locality, which is better known for its chalcopyrite-covered calcite specimens. 6.2 x 6.0 x 4.0 cm.
